Mark E Smith, red M/L (20"P2P, 27"S2H, 31"C2C)

I love a good story me. I used to love that kids programme on ITV called Storybook International which dramatized folk tales from around the world. I also enjoyed Jackanory. You can’t beat a good story and you can’t beat a good story teller. I love songs that tell a story. Some of my favourite lyricists tell great stories in their songs: Morrissey, Dolly Parton, Shane MacGowan, Chrissie Hynde, Shaun Ryder, Ray Davies and Nina Simone.

And then there is Mark E Smith. His writing and story telling is just incredible and unique. Nobody writes lyrics like Mark E Smith. One of my favourite stories in a Fall song is Athlete Cured on The Frenz Experiment album.

It’s about an East German athletic star who gets ill because his brother parks his Volkswagen willy nilly near the athletes open window and turns the car over for up to 1 hr so the fumes enter his bedroom and make him ill. That’s a song. Amazing. I agree.

And then there is Bill is Dead, Living Too Late, Hip Priest, Blindness, Kicker Conspiracy et all, Anyway I wanted a M.E.S sweat so I printed some.
